Principal's Message

Welcome to North Kalgoorlie Primary School 2020
Welcome to the new school year. I have had the privilege of leading this school since 2009 and am as excited about it now as when I first commenced 11 years ago. If you’re new to North Kal, then I trust you can see first-hand that your child is part of a very settled school, with a serious focus on learning.
What makes your child’s school a good school is the strong support it receives from a range of parties. Our P&C is a powerhouse with its substantial fundraising, provision of services and support creating very positive public image. The School Board has worked diligently in the background to provide strong governance and sound advice, ensuring quality control of education.
North Kal is blessed to have very a stable, industrious and highly competent workforce, both teaching and non-teaching. This allowed us to commence the school year ready to get straight into the task of teaching. This year we welcome two new faces: Mrs. Lisa Taylor (Kindergarten Teacher) and Miss Georgia Potts (Education Assistant Shea Pre-Primary). Miss Madeline Jackson (Teacher Shea Pre-Primary) Mrs. Tonia Neve (Year 2 Teacher) and Miss Pam Clark (Year 2 Teacher)) return from leave, along with Deputy Principal Mrs. Linda Brennan.
Our school Business Plan 2018-2020 (see Reports and Plans under ‘Our School’ tab) provides the direction for leading improvement. It can be best summarised into three key points:
Here’s to a great school year and I look forward to watching children striving to be their best.
