Miss Jenelle Tremain

Hello and Welcome to Term 3.

We have a lot of extra activities on this term, including our class assembly on the last day of school in Week 10. Further information on this will be sent out closer to the time. All dates are on the term planner sent out in week 1. Below is a summary of the major items affecting us.

As a class we are reading the novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (we started this at the end of Term 2). We read a chapter or two every day after lunch. The kids enjoy this very much and it is exposing them to new language and text types as well as other benefits.

Writing- Continuation of recount writing and incorporating more information and understanding of structure, introduction of report writing
Grammar: further consolidation of nouns, verbs and adjectives. Dictation, punctuation and editing.
Phonics- Continuous revision of all sounds with a focus on final sounds, sound deletion and manipulation

Oral Language development

Maths:
Continuation of recognising, modelling, reading, writing and ordering numbers to 100
