Year 6 Camp

After the uncertainty of the last few months, we have finally left for our Year 6 Camp to Perth. We have a jam-packed week of great activities planned.
Needless to say, we are all very excited!

Day One - Kalgoorlie to Perth
Lollies for breakfast is ok, right?  We’re pretty sure they were gone before 9am.  After a steady supply of lollies on the train, we managed to burn off some energy this afternoon with free time on the oval with the footballs, basketball and soccer.  The Frisbees kept many entertained – even when they were stuck up the tree!  The annual sand dune run also made the cut!

Due to the rain, we swapped tonight’s entertainment with Tuesdays and played some minute to win it games.  Our favourite was the tiny teddy challenge.  Our eventual winner was Bradley, narrowly defeating Marley in the final.  Other games included marshmallow races and smartie throws into the cup.

Minute to Win it!

Day 2 - Ern Halliday Activities.
After some morning exercise on the beach with some sprints, we were involved in rotations of 4 activities here at Camp.  They were Lost Pilot, Flying Fox, the Pump Track and the Big Swing.  A big congratulations to everyone as we pushed through all the activities in every weather condition thrown at us!
Sorry there are not many photos of the Big Swing - that doesn't describe the squeals :)
Day Three –  Scitech & Fremantle.

There were some sleepy heads this morning after our game of spotto last night.  This morning we went to Scitech.  We caught the train to Fremantle for Pizza in the Park and a visit to the Maritime Museum & the Shipwreck Museum, where we had the chance to learn all about the Batavia.  A special treat of icecream before dinner at Cicerello’s, is ok isn’t it?And, for our final activity ….the Prison Night Tour...
